FRD hosted 22nd AIRM ( ASEAN Insurance Regulators’ Meeting ) and MIA hosted 45th AIC ( ASEAN Insurance Council Meeting )

ASEAN Insurance Council ( AIC ) was established in April 1978 to be a regional platform for Insurance leaders, Professionals and Practitioners to network and share their knowledge as well as their expertise in various areas of insurance business for the development of insurance industry in ASEAN region . Myanmar Insurance Association ( MIA ) was recognized as 15^th  member of ASEAN Insurance Council ( AIC )   in April 2018. Being a member of AIC , Myanmar Insurance Association ( MIA ) in collaboration with Ministry of Planning & Finance ( MOPF ), Insurance Business Regulatory Board ( IBRB ) and Financial Regulatory Department ( FRD ) proudly hosted 22^nd ASEAN Insurance Regulator Meeting ( AIRM ) together with 45^th ASEAN Insurance Council Meeting ( AIC ) in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar as a host county  from 25^th  November 2019 to 29^th November 2019.

Over 200 delegates from ASEAN Countries, over 500 delegates from Myanmar were participated and it was tremendously succeeded event. AIRM delegates were regulators in insurance industries from ASEAN countries and AIC delegates were members of Insurance Council from ASEAN countries. During the Meetings, delegates discussed about New Insurance Products, Premiums Calculations, Life Insurance Products, General Insurance Products, Obstacles in Insurance Industries and solutions, Automotive  and Personal Injuries related to  Border crossing among ASEAN countries , Reinsurances, Natural Disasters and how to respond in Insurance Policies ,  Co-operation and Exchange educational Programs on Insurance. All AIC members were benefited from updated guidelines, techniques to make effective decisions by sharing their knowledge and experiences.
